What is Reddit?
Reddit labels itself the “front page of the Internet”. And according to many of its users, this is deemed correct. Reddit is a popular name amongst enthusiasts who love to spend their time on the internet. Reddit has over 1 billion followers all across the globe, that is why it is one of the most popular forums.
Reddit is a website where you can view web content, news, and everything that is trending in the world. Reddit consists of hundreds and thousands of forums related to specific topics where registered users can interact with each other by posting pictures, videos, and links. Users can also comment and like (upvote) or dislike (downvote) the content.
In simpler terms, Reddit is a digital newspaper with much more information and engagement.
Registered users post links of either videos, blogs, or pictures, then other users vote those links up or down. Registered members can post these links on different forums having different genres.
Like any other website, Reddit also has a front-page in which you can view hot and best posts. Unregistered members will see Hot on their tab, while registered members will see Best on their default tab.
You can also view Top News Communities, Trending Communities, and Popular Communities at the right section on the front page of Reddit.
As mentioned earlier that Reddit consists of different forums, these forums are also known as Subreddits. Subreddits are nothing but small communities, each of them covering a different niche. Subreddits start with /r/ name of the topic.
There are tens of thousands of Subreddits, and that is one of the reasons because of which the platform is insanely compulsive. Users can post different videos, pictures, and blogs in the small communities otherwise known as Subreddits.
